SDS max Carbide bits use the SDS max drive system for fast bit changes and efficient power transfer from hammer to bit. Bits over 9/16 in. (5/8 in.) use the highest quality Carbide and add two extra Carbide nibs, for a total of four cutting edges. Those four cutting edges pulverize more concrete to increase drilling speed, and they produce a rounder hole than two cutter bits. The flutes clear concrete dust quickly from deep holes, speeding up drill rates. Use only in SDS max drive hammers. SDS max bits are also offered in metric sizes.
