Milwaukee’s one piece carbide tipped core bits are well suited to drilling large holes at a relatively shallow depth. The core bit cuts only a kerf, so the operator must remove the inside core before drilling any deeper. Using centering bit 48-20-5495 is recommended (not included), and drift key 48-20-5497 is used to remove the centering bit from the one piece core bit. These one piece core bits come with SDS-Max or Spline shanks, in diameters ranging from 1-1/2” to 6”, with overall lengths of 11-3/8” or 22” and a drilling depth of 3”. An asymmetric tooth pitch with alternating tooth geometries pulverizes material faster. The one piece design maximizes energy transfer, and the thick-wall core body holds up even in large hammers. A fluted core exterior minimizes friction loss and clears debris faster.
